Eloping doesn't mean you have to sacrifce the pretty elements from a wedding, it's quite the opposite now-a-days! More and more couples are tying the knot at City hall or opting the get married under the trees with an officiant. It's lovely when it's just the two of them and also just as lovely when their closest family and friends attend as well. Brishen and Kevin met online (which is also the modern thing to do these days), had the most adorable son and decided to elope at the courthouse. I'm so glad they choose me to photograph it!
They were married at the St. Pete Courthouse and we took photos afterwards at the lovely Straub park. The park is right on the water in between the Vinoy hotel and the St. Pete Museum of Fine Arts. They have those gorgeous banyan trees next to the museum and just our luck, a blooming kapok tree. I was totally in love with the kapok tree and a bunch of the flowers had fallen to the ground. It couldn't have been a more romantic backdrop. Plus you just have to see thier son, with his green bow tie and sport coat, he is definitely the icing on the cake!
