Selby Gardens & Siesta Key Beach Engagement: Kelsy & Mike

Beautiful gardens + two radiantly happy people in love + the beach at sunset + a diamond ring on a fish hook = every photo is my favorite photo!  Kelsy and Mike (the two radiantly happy people in love) met while in high school and reconnected after Kelsy moved back to their hometown after college.  He just proposed this summer and while their wedding day is a bit over a year away, it's a perfect time to have their engagement session and I'm so thrilled they choose me to photograph it all.

We started out at Selby Gardens, such a gorgeous place with banyan trees, and an estate right on the ocean.  Kelsy really loved that botanical gardens feel and Mike was really interested in scoping out fishing locations on the docks.  Which lead to me insisting they pull out their fishing gear once we got to the beach.  But before we made it to the beach, we almost didn't make it to the beach.  We kinda let the time slip away and didn't notice the garden's had closed, locked doors and all, when we were leaving.  Good thing Mike found us an exit, before we had to be catapulted over the fence!  We finished the session on the beach at his family's condo in Siesta Key.  They love spending time there as a get-a-way and I love that we got to incorporate Mike's favorite thing to do as well.

So excited for their wedding at the Post Card Inn next year! Thank you Kelsy & Mike!!!
