Louisville, KY Peterson-Dumesnil House Wedding: Virginia & Brandon

All their friends had been waiting for this, for a long time...I'm talking years kind of long time.  Virginia and Brandon reconnected through the help of their friend, after always having a thing for each other, but never being the right time.  They just needed that push, of course  everyone knew they would be good together and once they were together it didn't make sense for them to be apart.

I felt so lucky to have shared this moment with them.  Virginia being one of my most amazing friends already choose an equally amazing person to share her life with and now I have 2 amazing friends.  Thanks Virginia and Brandon for having me there to capture this moment for you!!!!

Special thanks to Maggie Healy at Weekend Wedding Warrior  who organized and kept everything running perfectly!

The wedding was held at the Peterson-Dumesnil House in Virginia's hometown of Louisville, Kentucky.  The styling of the house felt untouched from when it was built adding the southern vintage touch to a perfect location for Virginia & Brandon's wedding...

Classic roses with a modern hot pink twist from J. Elizabeth Designs.

Virginia and I noticed that she was wearing a blue gingham shirt just like at their engagement session, we thought Brandon would get a kick out of that.  I thought it was a sign of good luck!

This gorgeous dress was from Keinfeld's, which was the perfect dress for Virginia's vintage look.

Virginia you look gorgeous!! Which I think I said a million times...

Brandon could not wait to see Virginia since knew we were doing their First Look after I took his portrait.  I'm lucky I could get him to concentrate enough to get these photos!  P.S. I love those Chucks!

They decided to do a First Look and get all of their portraits, plus bridal party done before the ceremony got started.  Virginia was so glad we got all of that done ahead of time, so it was able to be private without any guests around.  I'm sure it felt like a lifetime when I had them both stand there and wait until I asked Brandon to turn around....

Love this moment, I think it says it all...

I don't know which part Brandon was most excited about, but I know his full attention was turned on this classic car when it drove up.  They choose all the right details to get that vintage feeling at their wedding in a modern way.

This is Virginia...never a dull moment!  I was having a hard time keeping it together, with all the laughing...

I had to share this one.  While we were taking bridal party photos, I snapped Virginia with her mom and two sisters (who were her bridesmaids).  They way they had fun with each other just reminded me of my family.  Catching these moments along with the posed photos, is what I love to do.

Ok, how cool is the Scottish bagpiper lady with her aviator sunglasses?.....Loved the cocktails on the porch and everyone walking about in and out of the house, it just made it feel like an intimate family party...

Local bluegrass band Relic were there, giving the party that southern sound that the groom especially loves...

This unique orange flavored cake was done by Virginia at Mert's Cakes.

Everyone was having so much fun taking their photos in the booth by the Magnolia Photo Booth Co.  I liked that they had all the modern props, but still had the classic feel of the photo booth where you could sit and press the button...very cool.
